Chloe: What is going on, Julian? Who are those cars?
Julian: I... I don't know! Nobody is supposed to have access through the main security gate!
The two massive vehicles came to a sudden, perfectly coordinated stop on either side of Olivia, effectively blocking the entire driveway. The engines roared softly as the high-end tinted windows remained completely dark under the afternoon sun. The air was filled with the sharp smell of hot rubber and burning exhaust fumes.
Within seconds, all four doors of both SUVs opened simultaneously. Eight tall, heavily built men dressed in crisp tailored black suits stepped out into the bright light. They immediately took strategic defensive positions around Olivia, forming an impenetrable human shield around her and her scattered belongings.
Julian: Hey! This is private property! Get off my land before I call the police!
None of the security personnel even glanced at Julian. Instead, the rear door of the lead SUV opened slowly, and a distinguished older man stepped out onto the driveway. He wore a custom three-piece charcoal suit, his silver hair neatly combed back, and his eyes filled with absolute, cold rage.
Arthur: So this is the boy who thought he could mistreat my daughter.
Julian froze in place, his breath catching sharply in his throat. His face instantly drained of all color, turning as white as a sheet. He recognized the man standing on his driveway immediately from every major business magazine, television news channel, and corporate board meeting in the entire country.
Julian: V-Vance? Arthur Vance?
Chloe: Who is that old man, Julian? Why do you look so scared?
Julian: Shut up, Chloe! That's Arthur Vance... the chairman of Vance Global Enterprises!
Arthur: (walking toward Olivia) My sweet girl, are you or the baby hurt in any way?
Olivia: I am okay, Dad. Just tired of the lies.
Arthur pulled his daughter into a gentle, protective hug, carefully keeping her safe from the cold wind. He then turned his head slowly toward the marble porch where Julian and Chloe were standing like motionless statues, their mouths agape in total shock and disbelief.
Arthur: You have made a fatal error today, young man.
Julian: Mr. Vance... sir! I had no idea... Olivia never told me she was your daughter!
Arthur: My daughter wanted to see if you had a genuine heart. Clearly, you are nothing more than a parasite.
Chloe: Wait, Olivia is the daughter of a billionaire? That's impossible! She wears basic clothes!
Arthur: Humility is a trait only true royalty possesses. Something a gold-digger like you would never understand.
Arthur raised his hand slightly, giving a quick gesture to the man sitting in the front passenger seat of the second SUV. A sharp-looking woman in a navy suit stepped out, holding a thick leather briefcase under her arm. She walked up the driveway with firm, decisive steps, pulling out a thick stack of legal documents.
Arthur: This is Victoria Sterling, the head of my global legal department. She has a few items for you to sign, Julian.
Julian: Items? What are you talking about? I haven't done anything illegal!
Victoria: Mr. Vance owns eighty percent of the primary mortgage note on this exact residential property, Julian.
